FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FORMER DIRECTOR OF CIA JAMES WOOLSEY DISCUSSED UFO/ET ISSUES IN DECEMBER 1993 WITH DR. STEVEN M. GREER, DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE (CSETI) WHILE HE WAS IN OFFICE
GREER ALSO NOTES SERIOUS CLINTON INTEREST ON SUBJECT WHILE CSETI CONTINUES TO COLLECT MORE THAN 150 WITNESSES TO UFO/ET EVENTS, PROGRAMS & KNOWLEDGE VIA ITS PUBLIC DISCLOSURE EFFORT
ASHEVILLE, NO. CAROLINA — February 24, 1998 — The former director of the CIA, James Woolsey, met for nearly three hours in December 1993 while he was in office to discuss the subject of UFOs and the geopolitical, scientific and other implications of the extraterrestrial presence with Dr. Steven M. Greer, Founder and International Director of The Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI), Greer said today, after revealing the information publicly last month over several national radio programs including the nationally syndicated “Art Bell Show.”
Among other related topics, the candid meeting between the two men touched on the necessity to establish concrete evidence of the ET issue and how to begin to make this subject an informed reality for the American people and its leaders, “who have no serious information about the issue or how it’s managed through Unacknowledged Special Access Projects (USAPs),” Greer noted, “residing in often above-top-secret contract work between leading high-tech private industry companies and select branches of the government, intelligence and military.” Similar claims were recently made by retired Lt. Colonel Philip Corso in his revelatory book “The Day After Roswell,” where the former NSA officer under Eisenhower says he helped seed the technologies gleaned from the Roswell crash to private enterprise to develop among other things the laser particle beam weapon, the integrated circuit and other technologies.
Greer also admitted recently that President Clinton was given a packet of briefing materials and evidentiary pieces prepared by CSETI’s Project Starlight effort (a public disclosure program) by Laurence Rockefeller in the summer of 1994 while the Clinton family vacationed at Rockefeller’s ranch in the Grand Tetons. Greer says this is not the first time the president has taken an interest in the subject. According to a recent New York Post article, Clinton asked embattled aide and friend Webb Hubbell to look into the UFO subject when Clinton first came into office. The anecdote is related in Hubbell’s new book “Friends in High Places.”
Clinton had said, ‘If I put you over at Justice I want you to find the answers to questions for me. One, who killed JFK. And two, are there UFOs.’ Clinton was dead serious. I looked into both but wasn’t satisfied with the answers I was getting,'” Hubbell says in the book.
Last April 9, the Project Starlight effort presented its case with 15 military, aerospace and civilian witnesses and hundreds of pages documents and a related video summary to more than 24 congressional offices in Washington along with former Apollo Astronaut Edgar Mitchell who supports a complete disclosure on the issue. Says Greer, “We now have identified more than 150 witnesses in our evidence pool who are ready to testify. But we need to continue to make the public aware of our leaders’ accountability in this matter; we urge all citizens to contact their congressional representatives by writing them and urging open hearings on the matter.”
